Let's Get It Done!

Hello again and welcome to another weekly update on Number Ten and the political world.

Firstly, apologies for not putting a weekly update out last time - truth to tell, I was so depressed and disillusioned with the tone of the election campaign that I couldn't bring myself to spend any time writing about it. Was it ever thus? Did Gladstone and Disraeli spend all their time on the hustings engaging in vitriolic soundbites? If Churchill was around now, would he be tweeting "Communist Attlee will bankrupt UK! A free to use National Health Service will cost every family in UK 43,000 guineas a year. SAD! #votewinston#"...?

This fascinating photo shows Winston Churchill using a Motorola DynaTAC 8000x while visiting troops in El Alamein in 1942. The phone was not made available to public consumers until 1983, some 41 years later.

Next some exciting news Number Ten. For the next 6 months I'm going to be working full time, five days a week on developing the game and getting it on the App Store. I'm excited (and a little scared!) to finally go full time into app development, but as the kids say, YOLO. If I don't do it soon, I may never do it at all.

On the election front, I'll be giving my thoughts on the chances for each of the political parties over the coming blogs. As things stand it's hard to see any result other than a thumping victory for Boris Johnson, but we know from previous elections how allegiances can change over just a few weeks. I'll be starting my round-up of the parties with the Conservatives in the next blog.

Speak to you soon!

Richard
